The Orioles have a new face of the rotation.
Erik Bedard is said to be inching towards signing a 4-year deal with the Baltimore Orioles, a source told The Henny Report on Sunday night.
Bedard, 39, has spent the last three years refining his eephus and is said to be ‘ready to roll,’ per his agent Oliver Klozoff.
The Orioles approached Bedard about a deal after his bullpen in November, where he was ‘pounding the zone at 82, 83,’ and ‘getting every player at Palm West High School out,’ per a league scout.
The financials are not yet finalized, but we are told to expect a 4-year deal worth ‘at least’ $12.5 million per season.
More to come.
