The Blues have fired Mike Yeo.
Yeo was relieved after a 2-0 loss to the Kings on Monday night. Under his leadership, the Blues missed the playoffs in 2017-18 and are under .500 despite adding Ryan O’Reilly, Pat Maroon, and more pieces.
Yeo will stay with the organization, per a source. He has been assigned to Saskatchewan to scout Bantam hockey players for the Blues Junior League, which is designed for ages 15-17.
There is no indication as of yet that Yeo has the inside track to coach the Junior Blues, but the possibility remains on the table.
