Learning Life Lessons: Boogie Cousins Edition

There’s not enough athletes on the planet who’re genuinely concerned with educating our youth correctly. Thankfully Boogie Cousins is an exception. The kids in the Oakland area are learning life lessons you simply can’t put a price on: Buckets aren’t given. They’re earned. You think this kid ever had a chance pulling up from 15 feet out with Boogie in his face? Not a chance.

Here’s a piece of advise for this kid: Understand the situation. Boogie is coming off an awful ruptured achilles injury that will certainly limit his ability to run the floor. You’ve gotta make him move around and earn those blocks. You can’t just pull up and expect to drain it on Boogie, especially considering he’s literally 2 and half feet taller than these kids.

Also, I love how nonchalant Boogie is during this video. Most players will laugh and have some fun when they swat a kid. Not DeMarcus. This is just another day in the life of Boogie. Strictly a Business trip.
